It’s hard to explain but for many years I have dreamed and dreamed about crafting becoming not just a “hobby”. Over the years I’ve thought about this or that and did classes frequently to learn more techniques. About two years ago I decided to teach crafts for fun and to get to know people. It wasn’t any particular company it was just ideas and would sell spots to come have a seat, everything is ready for your class, craft packets, friends, snacks and camaraderie. I met some truly fun people, but I didn’t set it up right and it appeared to get out of hand and lots of waste on my part. I took a break from it and still crafted part time, but really missed crafting with people. Last year when my last baby girl headed off to college I didn’t think I would survive it. I missed her terribly and since my husband worked nights I found myself coming home to an empty house a lot harder than I think anyone realized. Her first semester was rocking and she had truly found who she is 1700 miles away from her mom. So proud of her, but missed her terribly. I still had my other girls not far away, but they have busy lives, working and finishing school. I’m a very lucky mom, and sometimes I have to remind myself of this. I have three of the most beautiful, intelligent and witty girls God could have graced me with!!
At the beginning of this year my husband and I talked about turning one of our rooms into a crafty room!! It took a while and I will show you some photos of the transition. But I actually began getting excited again. My own space to play, but I knew I wanted it different that if someone wanted to come play they would have a space too or even come chat with me. So ideas abounded and my hubby began preparing!
I always have followed My Pink Stamper from when she was a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, then Cricut. I never strayed because I don’t think it was about the product it was her upbeat and down to earth style. I really enjoyed the projects she did and reading about her family and her faith. Well I decided to stop dreaming, stop wondering, stop wishing and I did it!! I became a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. Things happen for a reason because a week after I did it all kinds of excitement started happening with Stampin’ Up! They were gearing up for the new catalog release. Parties on Facebook and I started meeting and chatting with people all over the world!! Amazing!! Even found a few that personalities matched mine lol. I have in the past few months began stocking up on product just for me and honestly I really wanted to have fun. So it’s official I’m a Pink Stamper oh yeah baby you heard me I’m officially on Robyn’s team!! Not only that one of my Ohio friends has decided to become a Pink Stamper as well YAY ME!!
I hope that my old friends and my new friends will support me on this new venture that I am truly excited about. Please follow me, cheer me on and maybe even take a few classes from me. I plan on offering online tutorials that will be free to anyone that would like to watch (I better get my nails done!!)
